In all my years in business and throughout my career the three things that motivated and consistently provided me with the most satisfaction was being able to provide dedicated and committed support and services to client companies and their employees to help and foster the development of the business by allowing those involved in the businesses -management and staff, teams and individuals - to excel and get the very best from themselves in meeting their own and corporate goals and ambitions.

Why the name New Dawn Career Coaching?

I selected the name, New Dawn Career Coaching, very deliberately as it is intended to be symbolic of a fresh start, a new beginning and an opportunity to refocus as we emerge from the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic. It caused huge and tragic loss of life and untold damage and disruption to economies and businesses resulting in millions of job losses globally. I too was impacted as my former role was also made redundant due to Covid-19. And of course, I found that very difficult and upsetting at the time but resolved to not to despair but instead to seize the opportunity to re-focus, to upskill, to re-train, and to be ready to help myself and others to avail of the new opportunities, the new ways of working, new jobs and job-roles etc. that will definitely emerge as we exit from the Covid-19 pandemic.

Change

Making changes and adapting to new styles of working can be hard - I know, I’ve had to do this myself a number of times throughout my working life. It’s hard, challenging - but it is possible.  My work, focus and drive is about helping clients to take and to keep taking brave and courageous, and most often many small, steps that add up to big change – steps to accomplishing what they want to do.

Whatever your work and experience, be that as a manager or as an employee and team member is, you can be more effective, confident knowing that:

You can learn to cope with, and even thrive in constant change;

  • Employees - even those who may rub others the wrong way -  can learn the skills needed to communicate and work together more effectively and collaboratively

Change can be hard, and even harder if you aren’t sure about what the next steps are that you’re really ready to take. When everyone, including you, is already trying as hard as they can, hearing again what to do differently doesn’t help.  You all know what needs to be done but nobody, yourself included, is sure of exactly how to do it.
